LEGHOME THERAPY 1.)Whilesitting in your wheel chair, lift your legs up a few inches and down.Even if your leg does not lift, try to lift the leg. You may begetting a little muscle movement. It is good to exercise that, evenif you do not see it. 2..)Trykicking your leg out in front of you, even if you do not see movement, you may have a little muscle movement and it is good to exercisethat. 3.)Withassistance, move your wheelchair facing a wall with a very securerail. Put your feet, toes to the wall, lock your wheel chair and grabthe hand rail in front of you. With someone helping you, try to pullyourself to a standing position. The first thing you will notice isthat you are probably not strong enough to pull yourself up even alittles bit.. Do keep trying, eventually your arms will be strongenough. With toes and knees pressed against the wall and a spottertry to lift yourself a few inches off the seat of the wheel chairuntil you can go as far as you can. A spotter is very important hereand if you can accomplish this you will build up your muscle and bonedensity from bearing weight on your legs again. 4..)Whilesitting with your knees together, move them as far apart as you cango and the put your knees together again.
