Want help taking a whack at stroke we'll help you get your life back and this is done on a voluntary basis, we do not charge anything, it is for free and we would love to help you get your life back or more than you thought you could! We are also looking for individuals, that have attained recovery to join us and volunteer helping others do the same on a world wide basis!
The hope for stroke organization was established with the following ideas. That the devastating effects of stroke cause up to 60% of us to be depressed, I was depressed although I did not realize it at the time. I came back from being paralyzed, unable to talk, move or do anything for myself, anything! I spent a full year in Hospitals and Nursing Homes and when I got out I could only move a little of one hand. Today I'm fully functional... The other is the biological fact that Neuro-Plasticity can take a long time but does work.. We are tough on stroke and want to help you beat it back. Make that call, it may be the best thing you've ever done. If you have attained recovery and would like to help others to do the same, volunteer for our worldwide spider groups, the pay is great if you like that feeling when you watch some one else recover and you know that you've had a part in it.
OUR MISSION STATEMENT
Our mission statement is to bring stroke survivors, care givers together and help them on the road to recovery, make available information on technologies and treatments available on a world wide basis and be a forum for positive recovery and stroke survivors experiences. With a future goal of making physical therapy available at cost or free, for those who can not afford it and make that a growing interest to expand those services nationally on an ongoing basis.
